How to calculate pavers
Pavers needed = patio area (sq ft) ÷ one paver's area (sq ft). One paver's area = (length in inches ÷ 12) × (width in inches ÷ 12). Add about 10% for cuts and breakage.
Common paver coverage
| Paver size | Coverage | Per 100 sq ft |
|---|---|---|
| 12 × 12 in | 1.0 sq ft | ~100 |
| 6 × 9 in | 0.375 sq ft | ~267 |
| 4 × 8 in (brick) | 0.222 sq ft | ~450 |
